“Hans Herr House”

This hand-colored print depicts the oldest house still standing in Lancaster prior to its restoration. Built in 1712 in the germanic style, on land purchased from William Penn, it became the first Mennonite residence in the area for the family of Hans Herr, a bishop of the Mennonite Church.
